FAQ
Thinking about building your outdoor skillset with WildFront Academy? Here are answers to the most common questions about our courses and learning experiences.
What types of courses do you offer?
We teach wilderness survival, bushcraft, navigation, safety, and traditional skills through both in-person workshops and online content. Some courses are single-day, while others span multiple days or modules.
Do I need prior experience to take a course?
Not at all. Many of our workshops are beginner-friendly, and we always provide the right level of instruction based on your background and goals.
Where are the in-person courses held?
Most of our field-based learning takes place in Alberta, BC, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan. Locations vary depending on terrain needs and the course focus.
What should I bring to a course?
Each course has a detailed gear list. You’ll need your own personal basics (clothing, footwear, etc.), and we’ll supply any specialized tools or materials required for the skills being taught.
Are there online learning options available?
Yes. We’re developing a growing library of video tutorials, digital courses, and how-to guides for those who want to learn from home or supplement in-person training.
Can I request a custom training session?
Absolutely. We offer private instruction for individuals, small groups, or organizations. Just reach out through our contact page and let us know what you’re looking for.
