Courses FAQ

Thinking about signing up for a WildFront course? Here’s what you need to know before heading into the field.

What’s the difference between a course and a workshop?

Courses are multi-day, immersive experiences that offer deeper instruction and overnight training in real wilderness conditions. Workshops are single-day skill sessions focused on one core topic.

Who are WildFront courses designed for?

Our courses are for anyone ready to dive deeper into survival, bushcraft, and self-reliance. You don’t need to be an expert—just willing to learn, adapt, and get your hands dirty.

What’s included in the course price?

Most courses include instruction, group gear, specialty tools, and overnight accommodation in the field (whether tented or improvised shelter). Meals and personal gear may vary by course.

What kind of gear do I need to bring?

You’ll receive a detailed gear list when you register. Most courses require basic personal items like clothing, footwear, and outdoor essentials. We’ll provide any specialized tools needed for training.

How physically demanding are the courses?

Courses vary in difficulty, but they all involve time outdoors, physical activity, and hands-on challenges. Each listing includes fitness and experience level guidelines to help you choose the right fit.

Can I take multiple courses as a progression?

Absolutely. Many students start with foundational skills and return for advanced topics or seasonal challenges. It’s a great way to grow your capabilities over time.
